Hey all. Just loaded the game up again since I had a hankering for space stuff but not for using my joystick and such. Is there still an Ars corp? If so, does it want a high sec carebear? My old corp is pretty much dead now with just me in it.

Solo it is, I guess. Not a huge issue since I have in game channels like Help to babble in, of course, and HS isn't too bad for soloing.
Just a heads up, I finally got final word from CCP and my main that I purchased through the character bazaar was reclaimed by the original owner in 2014. So, the implication is if you purchase a character on the bazaar, the original owner can submit a ticket and reclaim it. Fair warning.
Raising the question then of what exactly is the point of the officially sanctioned method of selling a character.
Back to losing again. A week of free Omega on all four accounts is enough to at least entice me to train.
I used to have a dirty trick, years ago, but they took it away.
I figured out how to get it back.
Stealth bomber, T2 launchers, T2 torps, couple T2 bay thruster rigs, couple signal amps, a signal booster scripted for range, and a passive targeter - I can target to 170km, and hit to 162km:
Orbit a gate in lowsec at 151km (gate guns shoot when you're naughty at <150km), cloaked. Wait for autopiloting pinata to drive up, uncloak, drop hell from 151km.
I say they "took it away" because it was funner when stealth bombers could fit cruise missiles.

Ok, I subbed up my accounts for three months with the bundle with the MCT.
Assuming four accounts, each with a main and an alt, all in a corp...what should I train the alts in to make them useful? Multibox mining? PI multi madness? Manufacturing multiplexity?
The alts are largely blank slates, with some PI skill trained up because PI was hot at the time, so I was gonna do some nifty chains in hisec, but then my fiancée got sick so I stopped caring.

Industry is always useful. PI can be done in HS but it is hard to be as cost effective as in null sec/WH space. Or quad box missions.
Saw the article today on the main website, briefly thought about re-subscribing, but then realized I'd break my 18-ish year winning streak.

I'll be honest, I'm surprised CCP wasn't one of the first game makers to jump into NFT's. That seems absolutely their bag.
They were thinking really hard about it a year or two ago when the big war was still going - they created and gave out NFTs off one of the tournaments.
The playerbase (okay, well, I was in Goonswarm at the time so don't know about what highsec/other corps thought) shit hard on that idea, and it came too late to ride the first couple of NFT waves. There had been alot of NFT scams/crypto failures at that point.
Essentially, if CCCP had their act together (the very idea frightens me) they could have made a bucketload of money, but honestly the same amount of effort in making more skins, or destroyable skins for deployables would have been a much better idea.
I'm now thinking of how much money and in-game drama they would have made if they'd delivered that feature during the COVID lockdown war and .. yeah, they really do know how to miss the boat.

That's kind of what I was referring to, yeah - had not heard that they'd changed course on it. Hope springs eternal, I guess.
TTT in Perimtere will go into Armor tonight most likely. This past week CCP made a change to disallow anchoring any XL structures in HS. Thus started the feeding frenzy of goons + others deciding to remove it.
CCP not liking the competition I guess, or the drama that TTT is?
It would be nice if all of the clones that would die of the keepstar goes boom generated kill mails so we could see the billions of isk in implants lost.
Just backed this one. I thought the top tier, with everything upscaled was kinda cool...but is it too gimmicky? Also they are giving online packs to backers ;-)

Congratudolences on your return to Eve. If you really hate yourself and want to keep playing you have a few options:
1) Join a corporation in Goonswarm Federation (do not do this)
OR
2) Pod yourself or make a run for lowsec and Asset Safety your stuff for pickup later.
OR
2a) Do 2 and then join Gooseflock Featheration instead and come honk in local with us!
That goes for other Arsians as well. GEESE are a cool bunch of people, many of them active SA posters and a few of them (including myself) who are Ars Ex Discordia bitter veterans that still play this silly spreadsheets in space game for some reason. I was (briefly) thinking about re-subbing just to see what the game was like these days, with perhaps better server hardware for big battles, but I gave the character away to an Arsian when I left and would have to start over. I left right at that time - the great battles against BoB were over and GS was in the process of self destructing (which was typical). I bought Empires of Eve right when it was released, and realized I like reading about Eve a lot more than playing it.
Still occasionally take a shot of good stuff from my Goonswarm shot glasses. That's as close as I'll probably get, though.

The main major groups outside of goons are Fraternity and Pandemic Horde. Fraternity is predominately Chinese and horde is new player focused.
