Fingers crossed it is accelerated or I might not feel down to grind .. and I hope by modifiers they mean like a paired down Descent and not just random Directives.
My wild ass guess is the latter, perhaps with new ones added to the mix. The key for me is whether the L1-40 grind will be the same as it is now (albeit faster), or whether they'll be mixing it up each season.

It seems a new Descent commendation was added - full group beats Nemesis without anyone going "down". Anyone interested in trying it over the long weekend? We can also go through the Incursion for those who haven't done it.
I'd be tempted, but not 100% sure on my availability.

I'm saddened they dialed back Descent XP. Hit Loop 11 the other night before calling it quits [a shame, as it was nearly a perfect load out - really wish you could save so I could see how far I could push it], but only got 6 XP levels for it. Last season I feel like I got about double that. Glad I don't really like any of the outfits, as I don't know if I'll have time to grind enough keys due to that.

Hey Div2 friends. I know a few of you ventured into Ghost Recon Wildlands and Breakpoint. With the new Steam sale on, I was considering picking up one or the other. Which is the best representative of the series? I've read that WL has the better environment and story, but BP has the better gameplay. Are any of you still playing either at this point?

Haven't played either in a long time, but I preferred Wildlands as it felt like a real place with a higher frequency of encounters. Breakpoint felt emptier and sterile in comparison. Breakpoint did add a "ghost experience" mode after launch so you can remove the looter shooter aspects and tune the experience, but the world still felt empty.

to piggyback onto this, me and grom disagree but not contentiously. The gunplay IMO in Breakpoint is far superior. I'm also more than happy to jump back into either game anytime you know where we are. The difference between Wildlands and Breakpoint imo is that because Wildlands is more populated and feels way more alive breaking contact is much harder. Whereas imo Breakpoint feels way more like you're actually in a full on LRRP but somewhere desolate and breaking contact is much much easier but the enemies are much tougher. I'll say the graphics in Breakpoint are MUCH prettier to my eyes but it's far more desolate.

Wildlands is admittedly though a much more polished game, a lot of content and better gameplay loops.

But Breakpoint has the FAR superior gunplay and customisation shit.
