It depends on my key ring, but lots. Frequently I have two key rings at once. My daily key ring has car keys, house keys, tool box keys, workshop keys, and parents house keys (multiple bitings), while my work key ring is an abomination with keys for all sorts of stuff, like breaker panels, control cabinets, paper towel and soap dispensers, safety interlocks, powered industrial trucks, reversing switches, lights, and ceiling fans. Plus the lock out tag out key, of which only one is on my primary key ring, but I have another key ring with 5-6 of those on it, all by law, unique. Plus fido keys and USB keys. And a church key or two.

I also have lockpicks in my work bag, because that's not enough keys.

1 House
2 House duplicate on quick connect
3 Car
4 Trailer hitch pin
5 Prescription case

The duplicate house key is so when all the kids are in the car ready to go to school and one says "I left my lunch inside" the rest of us don't have to turn the A/C off while the lunch is retrieved. The youngest drives himself now, but I haven't gotten rid of the extra key yet. We used it earlier this year. When I inevitably get a car that runs without a key in the ignition, I will miss the time when I saw my kids every morning.

When I took cub scouts camping, I kept my blood pressure pills in a locked box in my pack. I haven't been a registered leader in five years now- I could probably take that key off of my chain.

I started to write the list before looking at my keys, and I assumed I had the key to my trumpet case on there. But I don't. I guess I need to find that.

0, I have no key ring. The only keys in my life are for my vehicles and I grab the one I need whenever I'm driving.
Nice try lurker, a key for a vehicle doesn't need a ring but the theme is 'keys', not the circular metal thing that might hook them together :eng101:. You still have a key so the minimum vote is one. Same applies to you @Semi On - I got my eye on you too!

There is no theme, there is just a question which is literally:

How many keys do you have on your key ring?

Asked and answered. I have a key ring and it is empty, hence 0. No need to make it any more complicated.

My main set of keys has two rings on it.

Ring One: My house has two sets of locks (Old house) so I have two keys for that, and a key for the garage padlock. I have two keys for my mom's house and my dad's house. One key for the garage padlocks at my dad's house. One key for each of my three cars, and key to a locking gas cap. My tool box key. A key to my office. And most importantly, a bottle opener.

Ring Two: Master key for almost all the doors in the water district I work for. A key to the fleet shop where I work. A key for the tool room. A key for the battery cage. Two keys for assorted padlocks used throughout the district. A key for the shop truck. And a key for the fuel dispenser.

The whole thing weighs about half a pound.

My normal pocket load has three rings linked together for easier spreading and pocket settling. The work ring has five keys I need on my person at all times (on call safety stuff). The personal ring has five (house, shop, 2x toolbox, and my Ars branded Yubikey). The middle ring only has a car key which is the medium sized electronic ones with buttons that's still also a physical key.

We just got a new car that's fob-only and there is no excuse for its size. I still haven't decided what to do with it.

I keep another ring at work for all of the special keys that masters don't cover.

Let's see
  1. most of my doors
  2. other door I didn't bother to get rekeyed
  3. little padlocks
  4. big padlock
  5. flameproof important-documents box
  6. churchkey
my car key is not on the key ring. there's several other locks around my house that I don't carry the keys for. Getting to the one that has my dad's old pistol in it requires thought. I don't carry that one for a reason.

Zero. My pocket knife lives alone in my pocket as it no longer has any keys to attach to. There's a carabiner in the house with the mail key on it. There's a ring that has the house key and a couple other things, which used to be mine. There are other rings with keys to family members' houses, but none of those are my key ring. They're more like household key rings. None of us carry any of them around with us, One of my cars needs a key fob and I grab it when I need it; the other car has no metal key, just a card. And I don't need to carry my house key because I go in through the garage.

I have different rings, one has my wife's car fob and a house key on a disconnect.

The other has my car, house key, and a key to each of my parent's houses. Another has the keys to the Corvette, which I swap out for the wife's car fob when I'm using that.

Then my car and my wife's car each have a ring with three keys that go to the camper, the shed, and the lawn tractor that are at the lake about an hour away.

My wife keeps her car fob and two house keys on a set of five different, but equally emotionally-significant, key rings with different decorations. Seeing that metallic disaster sprawled out on the kitchen table when there's clearly an empty hook on the designated key-hook and mail organizer, well, it grates on me.
