No thread on this yet, so here we are. This is not an IP I know much about, though I'm familiar with the Batman Arkham games. I am aware that the title is a stretch, I'll trim it when the game is out.

Jump into Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, the genre-defying, action-adventure third-person shooter in development from Rocksteady Studios, creators of the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham series. This title combines the studio's signature character-driven story gameplay with third-person shooter action to deliver a gaming experience unlike any other.
This description does not inspire confidence.

Anyone looking forward to this, or have other thoughts?

I think anyone looking forward to this immediately stopped looking forward to it when they revealed it was a looter shooter with generic gameplay and The Screen.

How the mighty have fallen.
Yeah Unless they have totally retooled the game play, it'll be The Avengers 2.0.

This thread got me thinking, what would make this game better. The thought I had was Action RPG/Souls-like. You fight minor heros to level your character up and the classic Justice League are epic Souls boss battles. It would let players choose if the want to be ranged or melee, or a combo. Seems like more fun than looter shooter to me.

Make it more like Rocksteady's actual Arkham games but with four distinct playstyles for the different characters, and make it a story focused single player game like they were.

And then find the person who decided it was going to be a looter shooter where King Shark and Captain fucking Boomerang have guns and feed them to an actual shark.

Hopefully theard necro is a bit okay... now that it doesn't harm the forum's software?

Did anyone play this? I don't often swing by any more but I read a glowing review of this game by Tom Chick a few days ago on his website, but blanched when I saw the $70 MSRP, and other folks' reviews. I think he loved the game due to traversal, which is why I enjoyed Crackdown and JustCause so much.

Anyhoo, it's $21 on steam sale now, which changes the equation a bit and I'm tempted to get off my current FO4 kick which is fine just more of the same (I drift into the same old stale character builds seems like).

This is the game where they were so damned lazy they gave Captain Fucking BOOMERANG guns, not boomerangs, fucking guns, and then did the same for King Shark,it was widely panned as absolute garbage.

i think I’ll give this one a miss then, I haven’t seen much good about it and I just started Witcher 3 for the first time. thanks for posting!

I should have also said that my experience with the DC universe outside of Arkham Asylum and a couple Batman movies, is basically Lego DC videos games!
