I'm regooping my gpu after it started overheating and artifacting. Hopefully it's just the gpu itself and not the RAM, VRMs or whatever, because accessing those would require even more scary disassembly...
Anyway the card has a little ribbon cable that connects an OLED display on the top of the fan housing, and I had to disconnect this. However, the plug thing didn't come out, just the ribbon. The plug thing is tiny AF though, and I can't really see if the cable goes into it, or just under it... I think it just wedges in to hold the ribbon in place.
Attached are big pics so you can tell me if this should be easy and I'm making a big fuss, or if I just have to shrug and live without the OLED display (not that I ever really made use of it, but it's a cool feature).
