geotagging and Places in Photos in iOS?(!)
i'm having an issue in my iPhone with the current OS where i can't SEARCH for "Places" the way i expect i should.
meaning there is a "Places" term in the search bar on my phone. but when i enter something like Seattle or somewhere else i expect to see photo i don't get any results.
or rather i should say i think i get results that appear to be all "text based" in the sense they appear to be images - maybe?! - with the word Seattle in them. so it seems like my phone is searching my images for actual text but not actual GPS data from when the photo was taken.
but i could be totally wrong since i don't understand this topic well, it is a complicated topic and also my images are not well organized.
basically i have a PHOTOS database and also an APERTURE database still on my desktop machine. but i am trying.
era ti have noticed is that my iPhone will show FOUR MAP ICONS with four pieces i recently visited it that i have a lot of photos in it i don't know what because it doesn't show the TOWN I LiVE IN.
anyway it shows these four icons and i CAN click on one of these four icons and get images that were taken in these geographic area.
so as you can tell it's confusing. i get four preset icons that will show photos with GPS presumably. but if i search for a place i get results that doesn't appear to be GPS based.
anyway i am design this article on GEOTAGGING and i am wondering if anyone can explain what it is saying. i'd like to optimize my Aperture database. can i use this sticker to do so?
