Only macOS Apple apps can talk on wifi?

I've been having an odd issue with Sonoma 14.5. WiFi works perfectly fine for several days and then it stops working. But wifi seems to only not work for non-Apple apps. Safari and Messages still work. Vivaldi, Brave, Firefox, Signal, Outlook, and NordVPN all fail to connect to the internet. A reboot fixes things and then it starts all over again anywhere from 3 days to a week later. I've rebooted my M2 MacBook Air more since updating to 14.5 than I have since purchasing it over a year ago.

I briefly suspected that Little Snitch 6 might have been the cause since I updated to that roughly the same time as 14.5 came out. I've since uninstalled it and the problem is still there.

The previous version of Sonoma (14.4 & 14.4.1 I think) had a wifi issue where it would take "forever" (a couple of minutes) to connect when waking up from sleep. That seems to be mostly fixed in 14.5, but this new problem has taken over isntead.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

What does Activity Monitor say when this happens?
check the Network Activity
Thanks, I'll give that a shot the next time it happens.

I had to reboot shortly after my last post. I did look at Activity Monitor before rebooting, but didn't see anything that really stood out as an issue. The Network Activity showed in / out traffic taking place, but not for the apps that has stopped working (VPN, Vivalidi, Firefox, Signal). I did notice that it's not all Apple apps / communication that remains working. The App Store also couldn't connect until after the reboot.

iCloud Private Relay is not enabled.

At this point I'll just reboot as needed until an update (or Sequoia) comes out. At least my open tabs are preserved after I restart, so it's only a minor inconvenience.
