anyone crunching on a 2200/2400G or other APU?

as i said on Some Big Link Aggregation Site, "not that i want to give anyone else an advantage..." but is anyone crunching on one of these? i'm kinda liking mine... 8 threads quietly crunching away in the cool basement beside the pfSense box, but also generating ~60K points/day on MW@Home (probably low because i cheaped out and didn't bother buying more than one 4GB stick of DDR4-2400. hell, it's not even using a half(?) ... or maybe 2/3rds of the 4GB (minus graphics) on some WCG projects). all for around 115 watts (undervolted by 0.1v)

For MW@home, the gem for me was the A12 series (AM4 socket). I used to have an A12-9800 which would do workunits in under 3 min, and more recently, had a A12-9800E which was still ~3 minutes. This was on Win10. Couldn't get it to crunch on Mint but didn't try too hard (or have the knowledge). More recently tried a 2400G which took longer/WU than A12.

Watching the clock speeds with the A-series, it would drop the cores down while the iGPU would just churn away full speed. Cooling with stock HSF wasn't an issue. This meant I couldn't do CPU DC on chip as TDP ceiling was hit with iGPU consuming most of current.

interesting. what RAM on the A12-9800?

and what did you have on the 2400G (and WU completion time)?

Sorry for the prolonged absence. I think the ram was 2133 as that was the ceiling for the A-series.

Never got times for the RyzenGs as I was migrating to other CPU-crunch projects and I was tired of MW@H having such a high "inconclusive" rate. It was like a 10% tax on your efforts (resources). I may be mistaken, but that's how I viewed it.
