how do I uninstall EZTV .

I've used EZTV for years without issue, I noticed in the URL it is listed as EZTVx.to/home. Last week I started getting popups, but only on this site. I've got all the AV goodies up to date, and add blockers in full swing. Nothing stopped it, so I just deleted EZTV from the tool bar to eliminate the GF or kids from adding to the problem. I can't find anything about uninstalling the program or scanning it for the problem. Has anyone else had this problem, and know of a way to uninstall, rather than delete. The popups occur when I select something to consider, and it happens about every other time I do that. Again this problem only occurs on EZTV. Thanks.

EZTV's reputation seems to have tanked, based on a quick search, because of junk like that and other reasons. There seem to be a lot of variants that may just be using the name and not be related, or some may be different proxies for the EZTV Group at the site you were using, which is what did a hostile takeover of the original EZTV (now at https://eztv-official.site). It's enough to make me not want to touch anything with any variation of the name because you have no idea which one you're using.

When you say it was on "the tool bar" what are you referring to? The bookmark toolbar in the browser? If you deleted it, then it's gone, there was nothing "installed". Make sure it's not a saved bookmark elsewhere in that browser or others (since Edge likes to import without asking, and others may have imported when installed), and go into the history and delete all instances of the site so it can't be found there. That won't stop them going to a search engine and looking for it, though, and in most browsers just typing it into the address bar will do a search, so make sure to TELL them not to use it anymore and if you can't trust them not to then they shouldn't be allowed to use the computer.

You can also modify the HOSTS file on the computer to "block" the domains associated with it, but honestly if you can't trust them, keep them off the computer.

After 3 days of checking the problem out, I have come to the conclusion that EZTV knows exactly what is going on and doesn't seem to give a damn.
People still use it, so no reason to put any additional effort/resources/cost into stopping it, and it's possible they're even getting a cut that more than makes up for any lost users. It's not like these are legitimate businesses with huge numbers of lucrative customers that need to maintain a good corporate image and not be associated with bad actors. Only if a significant drop in usage that they can tie to these behaviors occurs will they change anything.
