I built a new PC on Sunday, and did a fresh install of Windows 11 Pro with my region set as English (World).
Installed my usual suite of software, but I'm running into an odd situation. My DuckDuckGo browser install will work fine up until the point where switch how I connect to the internet. (Say from Ethernet to WiFi, or from one WiFi router to another). Once that change occurs, the browser will no longer launch ... UNLESS ... I run the DuckDuckGo.appinstaller again. At which point it goes -- This is already installed. Do you want to Reinstall or Launch?
If you chose Launch FROM THE APP INTALLER, the program works fine for as long as you stay in that session. If you try to launch the app directly or use a desktop shortcut, it will not.
If you Reinstall, it will exhibit the same behavior. Works as long as you don't close out the session.
SFC and DISM scans come back as fine. Drivers are all up to date.
The only thing that works is completely uninstalling the browser and then doing a fresh reinstall, at which point it will work as intended -- right up until the point where something about the internet connection is switched.
It is really bizarre. Makes me think there is just some basic piece of data cached somewhere which flips the Microsoft store out when it changes, but I can't figure out which one.
