How do I replicate PS5 game auto recording in Windows?

Recently built myself a new gaming PC and I am heavily missing the convenience of PS5 always recording video so you can at any point in time just go "save previous 1/5/15 minutes of gameplay". I need it to be able to record any and every game I am playing, automatically write to a specified location (I had my massive NAS in mind as it has lots of spinner storage) and discard older video once either a specific video length or file size is reached. It needs to be able to record at least 4k/60 at high bitrates and using modern codecs such as x264/x265.

Any pointers?

If you're using an Nvidia GPU, install the Nvidia App and enable the Nvidia Overlay. There's a continuous capture built in that you can enable. It'll keep up to the last 20 minutes of gameplay.

It can record at game resolution up to 120 FPS at a configurable bitrate.

Capture location appears to be configurable, but I'm not sure you can target a network device. The capture service is probably running under a service account, not your user account.
