Search/replace string in a bunch of text files

Simple enough to do in Linux with sed, vi, awk, or a million other tools, but how doing in Windows?

I have a bunch of CUE files that I want to replace the string "CDI" with "MODE2". Any GUI apps that can do this in a couple clicks?

You could use WSL to run Linux and do it. Or install Cygwin. Or a simple Google search would find options for Windows.

How many files? Notepad++ can do this too but as a GUI tool it's not the best for large numbers of files.

I've used Notepad++ to do find & replace on all files with extension [x] in a directory.
It also has a regex option.

Yeah, but then it means you're using Notepad++.

(I know it's popular, I just don't particularly like it myself.)

You may not like to use it as a general text editor, but would it be terrible to just use it as an easy single-function tool to accomplish this one task? (Especially if it's one time.)
