Pinterest, but for families

I'm looking for something that my wife and I can share recipes, todo lists, shopping lists, etc. I've tried to get her to use Google Keep, but it's just not working for some reason (I use it just fine for shopping lists). She's been sending me stuff on WhatsApp for our whole marriage, which is ok, but it's getting really out of hand to refer to something she sent me months earlier.

I'd like something with the ease of use of Pinterest, where she can copy and paste stuff into for use later. The easier it is to just stick something in, the better, but it also needs to be pretty, so something barebones like a Pastebin clone won't work. Any recommendations?

Self-hosted would be ideal, but I'm ok with some web service or social media website.

If you have even a basic Microsoft Account, OneNote shared between the two of you can do that. It even has a web clipping functionality. My wife has been using that for our holiday planning for the better part of a decade.

[EDIT] If it gets released to consumer Microsoft accounts, Loop might be even better than OneNote.

It's Google Keep for us.

Well, me. I maintain everything in it. Wife wants to give me something for later? She'll send it to me somehow. Maybe an email, maybe a text message, Facebook, Google Chat, etc. Then I'll hike it into Keep and share the curated notes back to her. Then I just remind her to open Keep up every once in a while so she can find things.

And this is what happened. lol. I don't want to maintain everything. I want her to be able to add stuff herself, instead of her sending me things in 5 different ways, and then I gotta remember to add it to Keep if I can even find the thing she mentioned in an IRL conversation that she sent me a couple days ago. 🤦‍♂️

My wife is the vacation planner in our household too. She's an accountant, so she uses Excel. Me being a data engineer, using a spreadsheet as a database gives me existential dread. 😱 She even cuts and pastes in Google Maps screenshots for driving itineraries. Into a freaking spreadsheet. It's... horrifying.

Yet somehow we make it work. ❤️ This is veering dangerously into lounge territory, lol.

They say opposites attract. LOL. Maybe embed/integrate the thing you want to use into Excel and she'll go for it?

I'll second Happysin's call for OneNote though. You could also try AnyList or Microsoft's To Do on mobile. They might gain traction. Especially if you can just "share" something into the app from anywhere else. (Then again, Keep does that, so maybe that won't help.)
