With Win8 I was able to use ClassicShell to get the look and feel back that everyone was used to. But I wonder when I build my new rig, I am going to get Windows for Windows applications I might need or want to run. But I am thinking buying Pro instead of Home, to avoid some of the nonsense Microsoft has been putting in their OS lately. I'm aware that with Home do not connect the internet first when installing, otherwise you get a PIN to login. Is this the same with 11?
I have used ClassicShell with 8 and and https://ninite.com/ with 10 before. Ninite does supports Win11. ClassicShell is now Openshell or Classic Start. With 10 this turns off a lot of that silly stuff MS has put in.
Was having Ads and Telemetry in Home a way to get Users to pay more for Pro?
Edited: Did I put this in the wrong place? Well MS did put crap in Win 10 and 11 that does not belong in OSes that does not belong.
