Update May 1, 2024: Sold to LiquidCache as detailed in replies below!
I got a big bin of untested controllers from a local Facebook seller back in January, and I tested them all. Out of what was good, I grabbed two or three and decided to pass the rest on to the other lovers of retro PC gaming. Ars Technica gets first crack at them before I post to Amibay, and with that out of the way let's get on to the goods! All controllers were tested in January 2024 and have been sitting in my office since then.
Shipping is from Canadian postal code R2M 0H5, and payment is preferred via PayPal. Canadian Arsians can pay via Interac e-transfer.
Microsoft Sidewinder Gamepad Pro: USB, analog gamepad, six face buttons, two shoulder buttons, "shift" button that doubles button count under Windows 98. Works under Windows 10/11 too! $5 + shipping.
Microsoft Sidewinder Gamepads x 2: The original gameport version that can be daisy-chained! Six face buttons + start and the shift button, two shoulder buttons, and works best under Windows 95/98. $5 each + shipping (would prefer to sell as a pair).
Logitech Wingman Rumblepad: USB, two analog sticks + d-pad, six face buttons + a "start" button near the d-pad, two shoulder buttons, and a (somewhat poor) throttle control! This controller also has force feedback when using Windows 98 drivers, but also works as a generic USB controller in Windows 10/11. There's a very minor break in the cable insulation that needs some heat shrink/electrical tape. $5 + shipping.
Gravis Eliminator Gamepad Pro: USB, analog d-pad, four face buttons, four shoulder buttons, two "select" and "start" buttons. Works under Windows 10, but is also great in Windows 98 (haven't tried it in XP). The "precision" button limits the range of the d-pad motion for finer control too. $5 + shipping.
Logitech Wingman Precision Gamepad: USB, four face buttons, two shoulder buttons, and a d-pad. Works under Windows 98 and Windows 10. Useful for emulators or old DOS games, I guess? Free + shipping.
Microsoft Sidewinder Plug&Play x 2: USB, four face buttons, two shoulder buttons, and a better d-pad than the Logitech. Works in Windows 98 and Windows 10 too. Probably also useful for emulators or old DOS games. Free + shipping.
I've got a bunch of boxes from other controllers that should fit these quite nicely, so help me clear these controllers out of the office and the boxes from my closet! I'm also open to shipping pretty much anywhere, as long as you're OK with it taking a bit of time to get there via the mail.
[EDIT]: I had a pile of Beerology feedback, but I also have some on Heatware too!
