Cloud storage providers to avoid?

I have an antique NAS and a FrankenNAS I'm looking to start replicating off-site as the systems will fail at some point and I don't trust the backups I have as the backup targets are, themselves, more suited for a museum than a home lab. So I'm researching cloud storage providers, and was wondering if anyone here has had bad experiences with any, or know of any reason to avoid one company or another? Do any make promises at signup like a local charming a tourist into his bed but leave the next morning with her purse, her passport and her shoes when the credit card's charged and the files won't upload?

Any suggestions for a good provider that's NAS friendly?
