How risky is using a vpn at home with "TunnelVision" problem?

In essence, it's a rogue/untrusted DHCP server problem. Is your house physically secure? Do you trust that none of the IoT devices on your network are running a rogue DHCP server? Do you think that plain white van parked outside your house for the last week is operating an access point that clones your SSID and intercepts your wifi?

If all of those check out, you're fine. And please move your computer about nine inches to the left so we can get a clearer signal, thanks.

If I understand correctly, its no more or less risky then trusting any device you purchase or use that is connected to your network?
I'd still say, when using any VPN service when you are not in control of both endpoints, the question is always "how much do you trust the other end?"
Good point.
