VPN (Secure Internet Access) Suggestions-India Specific

Hi Folks,

We recently rolled out a NordLayer to our employees and we have a small handful of users based in India who are having consistent problems with slow speed and dropped connections. It's not specific to one ISP or one area of India. We also have a good number of staff who aren't having these issues in India.

Nord doesn't offer an India based server/Gateway so now I'm looking into alternate options.

This would be used to lock down internal applications by IP and also encrypt data when traveling.

Does anyone have any VPN/Secure Internet Access options they like that provide servers in India and offer an option for a dedicated IP? We're really don't need anything fancy beyond this as we have other tools handling malware, AV and web controls.

Thanks in advance!

If you already have a firewall solution for a head office that you want to allow access to, you might be able to deploy a related cloud firewall instance in India or close by in AWS or similar cloud to act as a VPN concentrator for them to dial into and then tunnel from that cloud instance into your HQ, assuming that is where you want them to reach eventually.

Thanks. No physical servers that they'd need to connect nor any office infrastructure. Anything they'd be connecting into would be cloud based. I'm mainly looking for something similar to Nord or Cloudflare that has India based servers.

So basically like a VPN or Proxy service in or near India that will let you funnel all of the users via a single IP and encrypt their connections?

Sounds like SDWAN with a software client or very slim device you can deploy to the users.

Yeah, if you don't find someone with experience or a great solution, I would roll your own in a cloud virtual instance they can dial into and use to basically funnel all their connections through. Should get you what you need (basically an encrypted chokepoint).
