Annoying LastPass app behavior on Android

The annoying behavior in question amounts to the LastPass app thinking it has to enter a password, or saved info it has stored, when no such thing is necessary.

For instance, I'm in Firefox on Android, and call up Wikipedia to look something up in the site's search field, and I'm immediately redirected to unlock LastPass for some nonsensical reason. Or I decide to comment on a YouTube video, or respond to an existing comment, same thing, even though I'm already logged into the app or webpage with the appropriate Google account credentials. In this case, even if I dismiss the redirect, I'll type a few words and it tries to redirect me again, grrrr.

If anyone has experienced this and knows how to fix it, I'm all ears.

It is annoying. It was also annoying when it tried to fill a field through the two different mechanisms android provides at the same time. Interestingly I recently switched to an iPhone and the iPhone version is less prone to these problems, but it still happens. Though the interface makes it much less of a problem since it doesn’t create popups.

It’s probably not completely fixable. Sometimes the problem is actually the website and how it has identified the fields. For example, I often had it trying to fill in the field for an SMS two factor code. But I think that was because the website identified the field as a password.

Any recommendations?
I've also been using 1Password for a couple years now, I think. It seems quite good, although sometimes it gets confused with some sites that ask for double email / double password confirmation. And sometimes the sync time for updated passwords between my devices is oddly long.

I find that Google Chrome's password manager really tries to insert itself even when it's supposed to be turned off.

Most of these issues I chalk up to bad site code and Google being obstinate.
