Imaging a Windows laptop

Suppose I got a rented Windows laptop. The renter insists that the laptop must be returned with Windows. I'm clarifying with the renter because the Windows install is borked (wrong region; after switching to the proper region, good chunks of Windows are still in the original language. Also it's a Windows vanilla install without the manufacturer utilities, which I actually want). If they allow me, I'll just create boot media- either the Windows or the manufacturer one, depending on what they tell me, and use that to restore before returning it.

But if they don't and they insist on returning the laptop with its original install, how would you image the OS to "comply"? I assume dd from Clonezilla or similar should image everything correctly? Or in this modern secure boot/etc. thing is there anything to watch out for? (The renter, BTW, disabled secure boot...)
