I saw the "state of the dumbphone" post down a couple of threads. I was hoping to find an answer to an impossible question, but it wasn't there. I've been looking for a phone with nothing but call and text forever now. Zero internet, meaning no hardware capability to connect to the internet whatsoever. No browser. No apps. I'm asking because I'm really tired of not knowing what all is leaving my phone. I don't want an LLM or AI against my will. I've reached my tolerance for the overall BS involved in smart phones. I live in the US, and I guess we're never having any federal data privacy laws.
I don't think that there's any current answer to this question. I want to put it here in case anyone ever finds a phone that just calls and texts, even if it's years from now. If I find one, I'll come back and let you know. Thank you in advance.
