Sliger Cerberus v.2 Release

I exchanged emails with Sliger Sales earlier this week.

I've been planning to do an ATX build, and was thinking about using a Cerberus X. I wanted a USB-C socket on the front. This used to be an option, but its gone away. I wrote asking if they had one of the legacy USB-A and USB-C front cable harnesses in a drawer somewhere to sell. No joy there.

I also asked about the rumors that have circulating about a Cerberus X v.2.0.

Reddit has had the most scuttlebutt about about the Cerberus X v,2.0. They tied the release to the next-gen Nvidia GPUs, "Cerberus X 2.0 has been postponed until the end of 2024 or near the beginning of 2025".

My email with Sliger hinted, differently. To summarize, they "recommend waiting until July-August and then checking back in."

I may repurpose an old Fractal Define, for the build and wait the 2-3 months and see what shakes out? Who knows, the Cerberus X 2.0 may debut with: titanium-alloy panels, 200mm fan mounts, bundled dust filters with low-profile moldings, more and different type and sized tiny screws, and USB4 Gen 2/3 front panel sockets.? ;)

BTW, the dudes at Sliger are a nice bunch. They've done me a solid on more than one occasion. In one case, they scrounged a set of panels for me, in a legacy color they no longer sold. They did it for no extra charge.
