Dad's power/reset button broke!

So the area around the power/reset button broke on my dad's Corsair 200R. Will not come back on. I'm thinking I would have to swap the parts in a new case to fix. New case must have a 5.25" bay for DVD Burner. I built this in 2014, other then the above issue he hasn't had any trouble with it. Might need a new PSU as well.

He needs something cheap and durable. I have a Corsair 300R but I don't think anyone is selling those anymore.

Here's a question for you. If you jump the power pins on the FP connector, does it start up? Is a fix required to look OK, or would for instance, a reasonable durable momentary switch grafted in somewhere do the needful?

If you are set on a new case, rather than finding a spot to add in a new button, what size class of hardware is it? ITX, ATX, MicroATX, E-ATX? what sort of expansion cards are in use, and how many? How many drives of what sizes are needed?

How is it broken exactly?

I have the 100R which has the same style of power switch. The part you push with your finger is part of the front panel. The plastic piece pushes a tactile switch on the front panel I/O module.

If the plastic is broken, you could try making another pusher piece out of something else.

If the plastic is not broken and the switch itself is faulty, you could just move the reset switch wires over to the power switch header pins on the motherboard.

Well Amazon is only charging me ~$15 for ~$50 Zalman case so it's not too bad. BTW how long do Name Brand Manufacturers make cases? Corsair still offers the 300R on their Site but I doubt my dad is willing or able to shell out ~$109 for a case.

I'm trying to figure out how my Dad's wife broke the power/reset button, pressing too hard? Granted they got nine years out of this thing, but still.

Possible that after nine years some type of contaminant, oxidation, etc is perventing the contacts from touching?

Edit: Never mind. Re-read OP and remembered it is a physical break of the case/materials. Not a silent failure of a button that just no longer works. Leaving my original post so everyone can point and laugh.

Zalman T6 is down to $49.99 shipped, maybe see if Amazon has price protection on it? (not sure they do)

Given your constraints then maybe this'll be fine and time to stop worrying about it?
I'm going to send it back. No cage for a 3.5" drive. I either wired the front panel wrong, or the Corsair PSU is bad. How do I tell? I never had any such issues.

shows 3.5” hard disk mounted directly to bottom of the case. As far as your wiring issues, insufficient information in this thread to say.
Well the SATA data and power cables are at an angle don't fit if the drive is installed at the bottom. I do have a 2.5" SSD I can install, but then I'll need to get the data off the 3.5" HDD. I'll just send this one back and order a proper case.

Guessing that sort of option never occurred to the OP?

Probably can reuse the existing cable to the power switch, but if not for some reason:

And don't have to buy from MNPCTech, there are likely cheaper options.

I suggested a complete power button replacement from Amazon a while back but didn't provide a link. NOYITO 12mm Chassis Switch for $7

It has enough decent reviews that it shouldn't be a dud, and might be even cheaper tomorrow.

Looking over some old reviews of the 200R the front I/0 looks to be separate from the bezel so there might be enough room to mount the new power switch in the top of the front bezel with the power button facing up. If mounting in one of the unused expansion bays provides an undesirable aesthetic.
