Looking for a new 27"+ monitor

Been using an Acer 23" something or other for years now and it's really time to upgrade. Looking for at least a 27" monitor with Nvidia support (G-sync, N-sync, whatever it is). Will be using it for gaming and general work stuff on Windows. Any suggestions?

EDIT: Looking for at least 2560 X 1440 resolution, maybe even 4K if it's available in that size. Not particularly interested in a curved monitor. Budget is $500-ish, though could go higher if it's worth it.

Rtings is usually a good place to start, also Wirecutter, TFTcentral, a few others... As @Deathmonkey said if you can fill in a few more of your requirements that would be helpful.

Your budget should give you a lot of options. I've found Monitors Unboxed to be a fairly good source. They recently did a round up of the best gaming monitors for 2024 ( Youtube Link )

Make sure to keep a close eye on the full monitor name when shopping. I almost recommended a $300 27" LG 240 Hz model (down from $400) based on Monitors Unboxed video. I then noticed the "-B" appended to the model number. Went from 240 Hz to 170 Hz, with other downgrades likely too.
